Only 2011 the history as I remember it. I am amazed to say we just got our non-profit status and I can officially say I have been working on it for just less than 8 years.
     I don't know how my mother, Barb Carlin and I met up with then Brenda Naber, but we did and for months maybe even a couple of years we met monthly at a restaurant named Cafe Alex. Every month or so we read a chapter of the infamous expensive "How to start a Children's Museum" put on by the National Association of Children's Museums.
     It was so exciting and overwhelming to read and get amped up. We worked on the name, logo and mascot, mission statement, and our vision of what we wanted and have stayed together until the present time.
     Things faded off when my stepfather passed away, it was hard to stay focused. Two very small kids, work for me has always been full time also. Then there was a new of board members where we picked up Stacy , Bev, and the  Shivas'  . Monthly meetings started up again and we powered through the IRS paperwork coming together and getting the crazy important documents done. Everything hinged on finishing and submitting. We did our first public meeting at the library with a very nice turn out.
     We were then notified that the form we filled was an outdated form and it was double the appication fee and it all just fizzled. Pregnancy for Brenda caused non-motivation unless everyone else was motivated and my mom being gone a bunch and life going on and on and on it all just stopped.
     Then I got a phone call from Brenda.....
